1. Just plug it in while you’re using it. I have a 12v cigarette lighter extension with parrot clamps that I can attach directly to battery in the event the cigarette lighter is ignition switched.
2. Sd card in your IM5, just copy & extract the files to your cp
3. The PC software lags behind the IM508 suite for sure. It doesn’t have nearly as many functions really. Maybe you could upgrade to the IM608 I know it has swappable battery packs. I agree the PC software is mostly useless because it’s just incomplete
